Why use PL Homes rather than a traditional estate agent?
PL Homes offers a simple, affordable way to sell your home with NO HIDDEN costs. We combine the best of a traditional estate agency (without the high fees) with the 24-hour efficiency of an online service.
Every PL Homes customer receives a free valuation, a dedicated local estate agent, expert marketing on the major online property portals and local newspapers all the way through to completion.
Are there any hidden fees?
We pride ourselves on being completely transparent about our fees before a customer uses our service and we guarantee no hidden fees.
We charge a standard fixed fee of £595 to sell your home and this fee is explained when you sign up to our service.
You can also choose some optional extras, but these are all explained at the point of sign up and are completely no obligation.
Are my personal details secure once I sign up to your service?
Yes, ensure your details are kept safe, secure and confidential at all times. We will never share your details with any potential buyers, marketers or other bodies without your prior consent.
Selling my home
How long does it take to list & start selling my home online?
We will aim to get your property live on the major property websites within 72 hours of you registering with PL Homes. This timescale does depend on your availability.
A member of the PL homes team will call you within 24 hours of you registering to arrange for us to come and view your property.
Can I sell my home with other estate agents?
Yes – we are so confident that we will sell your property that there is absolutely no tie-in agreement unlike traditional estate agent. You are free to use as many agents as you like.
How do I arrange a valuation?
Arranging a valuation is simple. Complete the form on this website and one of our property experts will contact you to arrange a convenient time to visit your home.
How do I contact potential buyers?
PL Homes will let you know as soon a potential buyer enquires about your property. PL homes can contact the buyer to arrange a viewing or pass the details to you if you wish to get in touch with them directly.
What if I change my mind and no longer wish to sell?
You are always in complete control when it comes to the sale of your property. Should you decide not to sell the property while it's listed with PL Homes, we will immediately remove it from the property listings sites. Please note that we do not offer refunds if you decide to cancel your listing.
Will I get a 'For Sale' board?
Yes - unless you would rather not have one of course. We do recommend having a board as it is a great way to promote your property as for sale within your local area. We will deliver and erect the board outside your property at an agreed date and time.
Will PL Homes check potential buyers?
Of course. Prior to arranging a viewing, we take every potential buyer’s full name, address and contact telephone number.
When a buyer makes an offer on your home, we will request at least two forms of ID and proof of funds, chain position and mortgage confirmation if applicable.
Do I need a solicitor to sell my property with PL Homes?
When selling your property, you will need someone to take care of the conveyancing which is traditionally completed by a solicitor.
We can recommend a conveyancing specialist to you or if you prefer, you can slect your own.
Do I need an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)?
When selling your home, an Energy Performance Certificate (or EPC) is a legal requirement.
If you are unsure whether you have a valid EPC, we can check for you - just give us a call on 0121 783 1515. If you don't have an EPC you can add it to your service.
